The Stena Britannica is 1 of the 2 largest superferries in the world and sister ship to the Stena Hollandica. Launched in 2010, the Stena Britannica's modern onboard facilities include 2 restaurants, 3 bars, a coffee bar, an onboard shop, an internet room and even a cinema.
There's a range of high quality cabins onboard the Stena Britannica, all with en-suite facilities, towels and shower gel. Each cabin also features high quality mattresses so you'll enjoy a great night's sleep. For reserved seating, upgrade to the Stena Plus Lounge where you'll find a wide choice of seats for you to relax in as well as complimentary hot and cold beverages, a choice of newspapers.
Choose from a variety of places to eat and drink onboard during your crossing and menus to suit all at the Taste restaurant or Metropolitan á la carte restaurant. There's a range of bars too including Riva bar, Taste wine bar, Sundeck bar (weather dependant)and the Barista coffee bar.
There's plenty of bargains to be had in the Stena shop with a range of gifts, jewellery and fragrances - all cheaper than the high street on offer.
The Stena Britannica also includes a Bureau de Change, the C-View lounge, a Gaming area, free WiFi throughout the ship, a cinema, a news room/magazine lounge and an internet room.
The Stena Britannica onboard ferry entertainment aims to keep kids and teenagers entertained with fun activities, while at the same time letting adults relax on their ferry journey. There's a children's area with toys and games and a teenager area with video games.
The Stena Hollandica is wheelchair friendly and features specially adapted cabins and lifts to all decks.

Travelling by ferry on a motorcycle can be difficult at times, long waits on car decks sucking in exhaust fumes while you overheat in your road gear, slippery ramps and decks etc... but the crew had the few bikes on-board and off very quickly. On-board services were very good, the cabins well equipped, with a pulsing massage shower of which I made extensive use. The crew were friendly and efficient and menus varied and reasonably priced.

This was a once in a lifetime trip for me. I had always wanted to take the trip across on a ferry as a child. I had read about the Stena Line and most recently about the Stena Britannica. I was able to fulfill my wish to take make the crossing by ferry on the Stena Britannica. It was a wonderful experience. I had a cabin at the bow which was spacious and well done. The dining experience in the Metropolitan restaurant was very nice as well. The staff all aboard the ship were very helpful and cheerful. Whether this is a once in a lifetime trip or a regular one, the ship and service were very good.

"Always a Pleasure"
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 small children. The family cabin is perfect for us. In the cabin, the bathroom and the public areas around the ship, you get the impression that everything is clean and kept up to date. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant (Taste) is fairly priced and the food choice and quality good. Especially good for the night sailing is the fact that you are allowed onto the ship very early which gives time to eat and enjoy the facilities before the ship actually sets sail. On our way out (HvH-Har) we arrived a couple of hours early at the port to check in and were on the ship within 10 minutes. Having previously always used the P&O North Sea Ferries, I am a definite convert to Stena Line - there is no comparison!

"Enjoyed the experience"
I took the Stena Britannica from Hook of Holland to Harwich last week and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. All the staff from the ticketing agent to to the staff on the ship were great. The evening meal in the Metropolitan restaurant was nicely done, as was the service. My cabin at the bow of the ship was better than I expected. All in all, I was very happy with my journey and experience. This trip was a one-off for me. I had read about the Stena Line and the Britannica and hoped one day to do the crossing. I was able to do just that last week and was very happy with my experience! Thank You to everyone at Stena Line for making it a wonderful experience!

"Harwich to Hook of Holland"
One of the best ferry crossings I have been on. A sizeable boat with good catering facilities and seating areas. A little short on seating in the quiet zones but we got set up in the comfy seats in front of the big screens. The crossing was smooth and quiet.

"Great Ship, great service"
Booked via Direct Ferries because they accept PayPal. Normally travel from calais or Dunkirk but from now on, I will be using this service. Holland to Harwich. I really can't find a single thing to moan about. Nice people, nice price and a super journey. I really find the chance to take a cabin during the journey a great advantage. Your own room/space, toilet and shower and even a bit of TV if you feel so inclined. Clean, tidy and very presentable. Thanks.

"More than expected!"
The cabin was fairly simple on the face of it, but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. All bedding, towels, shampoos etc provided as you would expect in a basic hotel room. Checkin was simple and efficient so a very smooth process for us. Not a fault of the ferry operator, but we did find the controls after landing at Harwich were very slow, despite being quite early off the ship, we waited over half an hour in a queue to leave. We didn't experience the catering, so can't rate/comment that.

Even though it was busy that day, I still managed to find a decent seat and still had a relaxing trip (apart from some parents who let their kids play with chairs, even though others are sitting on it)

Ferry facilities well maintained and clean, staff efficient and helpful. I paid extra for Stena plus, included club lounge and enjoyed 2 course meal in restaurant. Arrival at Hook timely however luggage retrieval needs an overhaul as there was considerable wait for it to be brought from the ship. An enjoyable and relaxing overall.

Outward journey excellent slight delay on leaving Harwich but kept up to date by Captain. Return journey from Hook of Holland another delay in leaving port but this time no information from Captain leading to frustration. All and all a comfortable experience and I would have no hesitation in using this route again.
