The Stena Hollandica is 1 of the 2 largest superferries in the world and sister ship to the Stena Britannica. Launched in May 2010, the Stena Hollandica's modern onboard facilities include 2 restaurants, 3 bars, a coffee bar, an onboard shop, an internet room and even a cinema.
There's a range of high quality cabins onboard the Stena Hollandica, all with en-suite facilities, towels and shower gel. Each cabin also features high quality mattresses so you'll enjoy a great night's sleep. For reserved seating, upgrade to the Stena Plus Lounge where you'll find a wide choice of seats for you to relax in as well as complimentary hot and cold beverages, a choice of newspapers.

The Stena Hollandica onboard ferry entertainment aims to keep kids and teenagers entertained with fun activities, while at the same time letting adults relax on their ferry journey. There's a children's area with toys and games and a teenager area with video games.
The Stena Hollandica is wheelchair friendly and features specially adapted cabins and lifts to all decks.

Travelling by ferry on a motorcycle can be difficult at times, long waits on car decks sucking in exhaust fumes while you overheat in your road gear, slippery ramps and decks etc... but the crew had the few bikes on-board and off very quickly. On-board services were very good, the cabins well equipped, with a pulsing massage shower of which I made extensive use. The crew were friendly and efficient and menus varied and reasonably priced.

"Always a Pleasure"
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 small children. The family cabin is perfect for us. In the cabin, the bathroom and the public areas around the ship, you get the impression that everything is clean and kept up to date. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant (Taste) is fairly priced and the food choice and quality good. Especially good for the night sailing is the fact that you are allowed onto the ship very early which gives time to eat and enjoy the facilities before the ship actually sets sail. On our way out (HvH-Har) we arrived a couple of hours early at the port to check in and were on the ship within 10 minutes. Having previously always used the P&O North Sea Ferries, I am a definite convert to Stena Line - there is no comparison!

I would highly recommend this ferrie, many things to do to entertain ourselves and children, top cabin standards, great dog's crate.

"Great Ship, great service"
Booked via Direct Ferries because they accept PayPal. Normally travel from calais or Dunkirk but from now on, I will be using this service. Holland to Harwich. I really can't find a single thing to moan about. Nice people, nice price and a super journey. I really find the chance to take a cabin during the journey a great advantage. Your own room/space, toilet and shower and even a bit of TV if you feel so inclined. Clean, tidy and very presentable. Thanks.

We were delayed for half an hour but boarding ran smoothly. Late night sailing so booked a 5 berth room. Enough space for 3 adults and 2 children. Small double was big enough for two average sized adults. Was generally clean but did find 3 rather large toe nail cuttings on the floor between the beds. Good warm shower. Would advise to go to bed early as wake up alarm at 5:30 local time was "Don't worry, be happy" played very loud. I jumped out of bed half asleep looking for the kids phones thinking they were going off!! Altogether a pleasant trip.

"Much better than travelling by car"
This is the second year that we have used the overnight ferry from Harwich to Holland. I recommend anyone holidaying in Holland or further into mainland Europe to consider the ferry rather than cross at Calais and drive. It saves a number of hours driving and leaves you more refreshed to enjoy your holiday. We had a comfort cabin for 3 people outbound, which was very spacious with its own separate room with wc, basin and a really great shower. I am a large person and always fear feeling cramped for room but the shower and the cabin were great. The bed was really comfortable and we all enjoyed a good night sleep ready for our drive the following day. The restaurant on the ferry provided a wide range of good quality food. We had full English in the morning from the buffet restaurant but cereals, fruits, pastries, ham, cheese, yoghurt was all available. There is only about an hour from when the ship gives everyone an early morning call to advise of when everyone should start returning to their vehicles so the trip goes really quickly. The return journey is during the day and we have found that for the extra £50 it is advisable to get a cabin as well. You can sleep, watch movies on a tablet or something or you can walk around the ship. Overall, it is in my view much better and far less tiring than crossing the channel and then driving north from Calais.

"Amazing value for money"
I was looking for an overnight sailing as I had a long car journey ahead of me on the other side of the Channel. I could not believe the comparably low price? The cabin was excellent, clean and quiet? Really nice staff. In future this will be my preferred route to the Continent.

Skillful boarding of car and trailer. Excellent facilities on board with spotless WC and extremely comfortable chairs in 'quiet' lounge area. Variety of entertainment and distractions, if needed and good drinks/catering ( if somewhat pricey ... ) on offer. An extremely skillful docking after a smooth and pleasant crossing and disembarking was also speedy and professional -- excellent duty free choice but also somewhat expensive ! Altogether a very good journey on board; very impressed.

Having chosen to cross to Europe on Stena Line for the second time, we are certain we made the right decision, especially with the disruption in the tunnel and the knock on effect at Dover. The outward journey was at night, the cabin was excellent giving a comfortable nights sleep. We were traveling on a motorcycle which was very well delt with by the crew. The return in the day was good and very smooth on quite rough seas.

"Beautiful ferry ship"
We had a lovely crossing. The ship was sparkling clean, services good, crew happy and helpful. Only annoyance was the first on last off for cars that day. We were the fourth car to arrive at Hook of Holland and in every part of queuing we went backwards in the lines so we were almost last off. Take care of that better Stena.

"Comfort and ease"
We had to book an alternative route to the Netherlands due to the problems at Eurotunnel. Unfortunately we lost our booking for the Tunnel, one night in Bruges and one night in Maastricht but we found the crossing very comfortable. We were unable to make use of the lounge due to it being full but went to the cinema instead and laughed ourselves silly at the film"Spy". We returned the same way one week later. The crossing was very smooth and the restaurant served very good food and excellent service. I would do it again
