"Trip to Ireland"
We arrived late but we're rushed right through. Staff were great and the facilities onboard were fantastic. Sitting room area is very comfortable. Will use this route again.

Myself and my husband found both journeys on the ferry very comfortable. The facilities on board were clean and I would recommend Stena line to a friend.

"Great service, modern ships and entertained our two under 3s!!"
We recently travelled to Ireland mid-August and didn't really know what to expect as it was the first time we'd taken kids on a ferry. Direct Ferries service was great and prices acceptable. We were super happy with Stena Line's service to Ireland. We've travelled with them on other routes but loved the new ships - especially as they provided a soft play area. I think for any Mum or Dad this is a massive help. But a word of advice - don't use the Curious George monkey - all the kids in the room at the time were terrified and actually started crying when the employee entered dressed as the monkey!! Best just to hand out the lovely drawing implements etc - they are still enjoying using them weeks after our trip. So all in all a very successful trip with Stena.

"well organized - would recommend"
The staff all knew what they were doing, were very pleasant and helpful. It was my first time driving across and everything went well.

This was the best ferry trip I have taken. From arriving at the terminal the experience was seamless and went without a hitch. Once there a quick check of my confirmation details was taken, an hour later we were driving on board. The food was extremely reasonably priced unlike other ferry operators who rip you off. Toilets and facilities were great. All staff were lovely and very helpful the WIFI was spot on and free. Will certainly use again. RECOMMENDED

"A very pleasant trip."
This was our first experience of travelling with Stena Line and we were most impressed with the speed and efficiency of boarding, the cleanliness of the ferry and the standard of the food. The steep ramp on disembarking at CaIrn Ryan was hair raising but we managed!

"Smooth comfortable crossing"
Boat left and arrived on time. Cars brought in to boat as soon as possible. Plenty of room for passengers to sit comfortably. Extremely smooth and quiet sailing. We had a very enjoyable main course meal and all staff contact was courteous and helpful. Best crossing ever between Scotland and Ireland. My only criticism, and it is not confined to this operator, is the cost compared to English channel crossings. For example a 5 hour crossing between England and France 2 days earlier for us, car and 2 berths was cheaper than this 2 hour journey with no berths. It is a big concern to us that the link between 2 parts of the same country should be so comparatively expensive.

"Smooth and Pleasant Crossing"
The booking details were clear and the checking in process at the port at Cairnryan straightforward and on time. Plenty of staff around to direct passengers onboard and gave out handy details of stairs and exit points back to cars and Stena Plus was a delight to use. I would advise booking Stena Plus in advance during peak season as gets full quickly. Staff in Stena Plus were lovely and I didn't need to leave the lounge prior to returning to my car as all facilities were on tap.

"Belfast Cairnryan route"
Spend the extra and upgrade to Priority . Not only do you get the option to change/cancel the booking up to 2 hours before sailing BUT more importantly you get priority loading and disembarkation as well as access to the Stena Plus lounge. This lounge is a god send if you are travelling without kids and want to avoid them.

when on booking we were given a free upgrade to the Stena Plus Lounge which includes priority booking, this was fantastic and highly recommended, I would book again using direct ferries and the small incentive of money off and free upgrades definaltly make you book again, the staff in this lounge were very helpful and it was very relaxing and great crossing.

Fantastic experience from booking to journey. Found booking very easy to do. Very straightforward system once we arrived at port and very comfortable travel experience with the added benefit of complimentary refreshments on board and great knowing that our car was just below us and we were able to just drive off and enjoy the rest if our holiday.
