"Viking Line. Tallinn - Helsinki - Tallinn"
I recently took the ferry Tallinn – Helsinki - Tallinn with my family and it was a very smooth procedure and a nice experience. We were travelling with a car. The ferry was on time at both ends of the trip. The services on the ferry were well organized. If travelling to/from Helsinki - Tallinn we highly recommend taking the ferry. It is fast, easy and the port is in the centre of both cities which makes it very convenient.

"Very comfortable, smooth trip"
Thank you for the great service; we enjoyed the smooth trip, and the cabin was very comfortable! We were on a day trip to Tallinn and back, so the bunks were greatly appreciated for the trip back; we slept well! Kindly, Andrea

"A good trip"
There is no denying that the cabins are basic. But the ferry was on time, the sea was kind to us and dinner was both affordable and very good, so we have nothing to complain about. We are vegetarian and didn't expect to be catered for at all, so an inventive meal was a real surprise. The shop had one of the biggest selection of spirits and liqueurs that I have ever seen, and the staff were very helpful. The price of the crossing, when you consider it is for a room for the night and a journey from Sweden to Finland, has to be seen as good value. We would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone.

"Helsinki to Stockholm - Group of friends"
There is no better way to commute form Finland to Sweden if you have some time. The overnight crossing allows you to relax and get some sleep in the small but well appointed cabins. There is plenty to do on board including restaurants, bars and of course you can enjoy the views of sailing the Baltic Sea. Highly recommended for value for money.

As this was our first ever cruise we didn't really know what to expect. We were told it was like a cheesy Las Vegas casino on water - the décor of the ship might have been close to that however it was nothing like a casino. The ship was clean and well looked after and the cabins were also clean. there was a good choice of places to eat (although one part was confusing as there were three restaurants in one place, so we didn't know which part we were sitting in, however the waitress brought all three menus to us to have a look at). The staff that we encountered were all friendly and helpful and overall we had a very lovely experience cruising through the Swedish archipelago on our way to Helsinki. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone who is travelling between these two countries as it is cheaper and a far better experience than flying.

I thought all aspects of the trip were great. Staff were friendly and very helpful, with great facilities. My room was better than expected, with wifi being a good bonus. There were heaps of things to do on board to fill in the time.

Good service and pleasant journey with Mariella. The one negative thing was that we couldn't change our cabin to an outside cabin, probably because we booked the trip so late!

Pleasant and timely trip though the loading and unloading of the car took a while. This was on one of the older ships of the fleet but the facilities were quite good for the voyage.

"Directferries and Viking Line"
Booked through Directferries. Viking Line offers Baltic sea crossings, and their ships have a great number of facilities. It was a good experience on board.

We took a round trip Helsinki Tallinn in August with Viking line and were very happy with the experience. On the return journey we had a buffet lunch (27 euros all inclusive, August 2014), which we really enjoyed. The restaurant staff were very attentive and the food and wine were good. One detail which worried us when we made our booking was that we were warned to be at the terminal at least two hours before the boat departed. In fact, this proved to be quite unnecessary as we were foot passengers. I would recommend that Viking ferries clarify this point with their clients as we were told at the terminal that it is sufficient for those travelling without a car to check in 45 to 60 minutes before the boat's departure.
